Children's jiu jitsu works on motor patterns, balance and body awareness, with techniques applied in a safe but not simulated context. 1 2 The youngest group starts with educational games and a first approach to jiu jitsu, focusing on motor development and socialising. 3 4 Older teenagers follow a more structured approach with intermediate techniques, and a Junior Pro Program exists for the most motivated. 5 6
