The aerial discipline combines dance and gymnastics in suspension, using apparatus such as fabrics, hoop and trapeze. 1 2 In the trapeze course, students start from a platform with a safety belt and lanyard and learn figures from simple to complex on a swinging trapeze. 3 4 It says group lessons have five to ten people, with a warm-up, training on figures and a final catch session. 5
